When grinding a hard saw blade, the following adjustments need to be made to ensure the grinding effect and the performance of the saw blade:
1.Choose the appropriate cutting angle:
The choice of cutting angle should take into account the hardness and thickness of the saw blade and the type of material to be sawed. For hard wood or high-strength materials, it is usually recommended to choose a smaller cutting angle, such as 8 degrees, to reduce the risk of wear and breakage of the saw blade during cutting.
2.Choose the appropriate grinding wheel:
The choice of grinding wheel is crucial to the grinding effect. For hard saw blades, aluminum oxide grinding wheels are recommended because they are suitable for grinding hard materials. Although synthetic grinding wheels have high grinding efficiency, they may not be suitable for grinding hard saw blades because they are easy to generate heat.
3.Adjust the distance between the grinding wheel and the saw blade:
Before starting grinding, ensure that the distance between the grinding wheel and the saw blade is kept above 10mm to avoid accidental contact during startup, resulting in equipment damage or personal injury.
4.Adjust the push claw stroke:
By adjusting the push claw stroke adjustment rod, ensure that the push claw falls at a suitable position, so that the saw blade can be evenly stressed during the grinding process and improve the grinding quality.

5.Setting the tooth height difference:
If high and low teeth need to be ground, the high and low tooth difference adjustment rod needs to be adjusted to ensure that the indicator needle and the scale are zeroed, and make corresponding adjustments according to actual needs.
6.Tooth adjustment:
During the grinding process, the tooth adjustment screw needs to be used to ensure that the original tooth concave of the saw blade is aligned with the grinding wheel. By twisting the adjustment screw clockwise or counterclockwise, the saw teeth can be evenly ground during the grinding process to ensure the balance of the cutting angle and the backlash angle.
7.Grinding wheel dressing:
During the grinding process, the shape of the grinding wheel may be slightly deformed. At this time, the grinding wheel needs to be trimmed with a grinding wheel dressing stone to ensure its shape and grinding effect.
8.Cleaning and maintenance:
During the grinding process, wood chips and dust on the saw bed should be cleaned regularly to ensure the grinding effect and equipment performance. At the same time, the equipment should be regularly maintained and inspected, such as checking the transmission system and adjusting the saw blade, to ensure the normal operation of the equipment and extend its service life.
When grinding a saw blade with a higher hardness, the band saw blade grinder needs to select a suitable cutting angle and grinding wheel, adjust the distance between the grinding wheel and the saw blade, the push claw stroke, the tooth height difference, and the tooth alignment parameters, and pay attention to the repair of the grinding wheel and the cleaning and maintenance of the equipment. These adjustment measures can ensure the stability and reliability of the grinding effect and equipment performance.
