When it comes to woodworking, precision and efficiency are of the utmost importance. Whether you’re a professional carpenter or a DIY enthusiast, having the right tools can go a long way toward improving the quality of your work. One of the most important tools in any woodworking shop is a beam saw, especially a CNC beam saw. In this blog, we’ll take a look at how to choose a high-quality beam saw for working with wood boards.

What Is A Computer Panel Saw ?
A beam saw is a powerful cutting machine designed to handle large pieces of wood with precision. Unlike traditional saws, beam saws are equipped with advanced technology that allows for automated cutting, making them ideal for high-volume production. CNC beam saws, in particular, utilize computer numerical control (CNC) technology to ensure that cuts are accurate and repeatable.

Maintenance Guide for Computer Panel Saws
1. Daily Maintenance
- Cleaning the Workbench and Guide Rails
Use a dry cloth or air gun to clean the wood chips on the workbench, and avoid direct rinsing with water.
Check the dust on the guide rails and wipe them with a soft cloth. Do not use a wire brush or lubricating oil to apply directly.
- Tightening and inspection
Confirm that the wire rope and motor belt are moderately tight, and check whether each fastener (screw, nut) is firm.
Test whether the emergency stop switch and safety protection device are sensitive.
- Lubricate transmission parts
Apply special lubricating oil to transmission parts such as gearbox and guide rail to reduce friction.
2. Regular maintenance
- Deep cleaning
Clean the dust in the drag chain slot and saw blade box every week, and check whether the dust collection system is normal.
Check the oil level of the main gearbox every month, and replenish it when it is insufficient.
- Replace wearing parts
Check the wear of the saw blade every month, and replace it in time if a gap or passivation is found.
Replace the oxidized or coked contacts in the circuit every six months, and clean the dust on the circuit board.
- Motor and circuit maintenance
Check whether the motor wiring is loose every quarter, and test the ground wire and current stability.
3. Safety operation specifications
- Check before starting
Confirm that the power supply voltage matches (usually 380V), and check whether the saw blade is installed in the correct direction.
It is forbidden to operate without a protective cover, and the power must be turned off when replacing the saw blade.
- Precautions during operation
Avoid continuous cutting of metal or hard materials for a long time to prevent overheating of the saw blade.
Stop the machine and check immediately if abnormal noise, vibration or heat is detected.
