A 4-sided planer moulder, also known as a four side moulder or planer/moulder, is a versatile woodworking machine used to shape and smooth lumber on all four sides simultaneously. It combines the functions of a planer and a moulder, allowing woodworkers to achieve precise dimensions and create various profiles and mouldings.

Wooden boards or workpieces are loaded onto the machine’s infeed system. This can be done manually or with the help of automated feeding mechanisms such as conveyor belts or roller feeds.

The machine first passes the workpieces through planing heads or cutterheads positioned on the top and bottom sides.
