Horizontal Wood Band Saw 402

What is A Band Sawmill?

Band sawmill is a common wood processing equipment, mainly used to cut logs into boards or other wood products.

Band sawmill adopts the sawing method of band saw blade, which has a very fast cutting speed and can quickly complete the sawing of workpieces, thus improving work efficiency. The saw blade of band sawmill can be adjusted so that the distance between it and the workpiece is just right, so as to achieve high-precision sawing.

The working table of the equipment can be adjusted forward and backward, up and down, left and right, and can adapt to the sawing of workpieces of different specifications and thicknesses. It is suitable for sawing a variety of different materials such as solid wood, artificial board, plywood, flooring, etc., and has a wide range of applicability.

Working principle of Band Sawmill

The band sawmill consists of two saw wheels with belts, each of which is equipped with a tensioned, one-sided, annular band saw blade. The saw wheels are usually driven by an electric motor through a pulley, and the lower saw wheel is adjusted in height and inclination according to the tension requirements between the two shafts.

The saw table is used to place the workpiece to be sawed, and there are saw clamps above and below to prevent the saw blade from twisting or shifting during sawing. There are saw clamps above and below the saw table, and the height-adjustable saw clamps are above the workpiece to ensure safe operation for the user.

The band sawmill works by continuously making a single-direction linear motion, which allows the saw blade to cut the wood effectively. During the sawing process, the wood is fed to the machine by a conveyor belt, then fixed by a pressure roller, and then cut by the band sawmill. After the cutting is completed, the wood is re-transmitted to the other side by a conveyor belt, ready for the next sawing.

Benefits of Using Band Sawmill

  • Efficient wood cutting ability
Band sawmills can efficiently cut various woods, whether it is straight cutting or curve cutting; they can easily cope with it. Their high-speed saw wheel drives the saw blade, allowing them to complete a large number of wood processing tasks in a short time, thus improving production efficiency.
  • High cutting quality and low wood loss
The band sawmill uses thin saw blades, resulting in small saw path loss, a large processing area, high yield rate, good surface quality, and high precision of the sawed board. The sawing process runs smoothly, reducing processing quality problems caused by saw blade vibration.
  • High safety
The design of the band sawmill emphasizes safety and is equipped with various safety protection devices. When operating, it is essential to ensure that the saw blade and the hand are kept at a certain distance to avoid accidental injuries.
  • Strong adaptability
Band sawmills are suitable for different types of wood processing, including furniture manufacturing, door and window production, floor production, and other fields. Their flexible adjustment devices can adapt to wood of different thicknesses and shapes to meet diverse processing needs.

Applications of Band Sawmill

1.Furniture manufacturing

In the furniture manufacturing industry, band sawmills are used to cut wood of various shapes and sizes to meet the needs of different furniture designs. It can accurately cut wood and ensure the consistent size of each component, thereby improving the quality and beauty of furniture.

2.Wood product processing

In addition to furniture manufacturing,  band sawmills are also widely used in the processing of other wood products, such as doors, windows, floors, decorations, etc. It can efficiently cut large areas of wood and can handle a variety of complex cutting tasks.

3.Construction industry

In the construction industry, band sawmills are used to cut large wood, such as beams, columns, etc. It can handle extra-long wood and can reduce wood waste while ensuring cutting accuracy.
